Sports

Football is the most popular sport in Jordan followed by basketball, swimming and diving.

Jordan won its first ever medal at the Olympic Games at Rio De Janeiro in 2016, when Ahmad Abughaush won gold in Taekwondo.

Climate

The climate in Jordan is dry in summer with average temperature in the mid-30C mid-90F and relatively cold in winter averaging around the 0C 32F.

The western part of the country receives greater precipitation during the winter season from November to March including snowfall.

Culture

The culture of Jordan encompasses values, beliefs and ethnicities as it is an Arab Kingdom is in the heart of Southwest Asia.

Throughout Jordan you will find spectacular mosques, ancient ruins from the Roman Empire and earlier and magnificent mosaics.

Art in Jordan is plentiful, there are many local artists. Bedouin artworks include silver jewellery, colourful textiles and a wide range of knives.
