Doha, Qatar, February 16, 2021: Qatari middle-distance runner Musab Adam has officially qualified for Tokyo 2020, the Qatar Olympic Committee reports.
The QOC website says that Musab has qualified for the 1500 metres after clocking 3 minutes, 32.41 seconds during a qualifying race held on Sunday, February 14 in cooperation with the Qatar Athletics Federation, Aspire Academy and Aspetar.
Musab Adam, Jamal Hayran, Ismail Noureddine and Abdulrahman Hassan participated in the race and Musab managed to win the race and achieve the qualifying time.
Musab Adam joined earlier qualifiers for the Tokyo 2020 track and field programme, namely Moataz Barshim in the high jump, Abdelrahman Samba in the 400m hurdles, Ashraf Al Saifi in the hammer throw and Abu Bakr Haidar in the 800m.
