Hangzhou, China, January 13, 2021: While Hangzhou will be the focal point of the 19th Asian Games in September 2022, other cities in Zhejiang province will benefit from hosting parts of the sports programme.

One of them is Ningbo – which will be the location of one of four Satellite Villages to supplement the main Asian Games Village in Hangzhou. Ningbo city is 140km from Hangzhou.

Ningbo will host sailing and beach volleyball during the Asian Games, and the organising committee on Wednesday published images of the newly built sailing centre.

“The Zhejiang Ocean Sports Center, located in Xiangshan, Ningbo, is coming to its completion,” reports the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022 Facebook account.

“The Center will host the sailing events of #AsianGames2022 and is half on land and half on the sea.

“Now, a full view of the venue has been presented to the public.”

The Zhejiang Ocean Sports Center is 38km from the Ningbo Satellite Village.  It has a land area of 156,900 sq metres and a floor area of 16,400 sq metres.
