OCA-CTOC prepares for Fun Run + Learn

New Taipei City, Chinese Taipei: A delegation from the Olympic Council of Asia, led by OCA Asian Games Director Haider Farman, had a busy schedule on the first day of their visit to Chinese Taipei on Friday. The delegation paid a courtesy call to Chinese Taipei Olympic Committee President Thomas W. Tsai  in the morning, followed by a visit to the Chinese Taipei Olympic Committee headquarters to meet with the Deputy Minister of the Sport Affairs Council, Madam Chen Yun Lien, and Chinese Taipei Olympic Committee Secretary General Kevin Kuo-I Chen.

A working meeting was also held to discuss preparations for the Incheon Asian Games Fun Run + Learn to be held in New Taipei City on Sunday, March 4. Later in the afternoon, the OCA visited New Taipei City Hall and met with Deputy Mayor Hou Yu Il.

In conjunction with the New Taipei Wan Jin Si International Marathon, the 6-km Incheon Asian Games Fun Run has attracted more than 3,400 runners, including 500 school students. The total number of runners will be more than 11,000.

The OCA delegation, led by Director General Husain Al Musallam, and 2014 Incheon Asian Games Organising Committees guests, led by Deputy Secretary General Kim Joong Jae, will also participate in the Fun Run + Learn event.

The other VIP guests are Dr. Hsia Ling Tai, Minister of Sport Affairs Council; Mr. Li-Lun Chu, Mayor of New Taipei City; Mr. Thomas W. Tsai, President of CTOC & Member of OCA Media Committee; and Mr. Fred Maetoloa, President of Solomon Islands Olympic Committee.
