Brunei newspapers celebrate OCA-Incheon Asian Games Fun Run

26 May 2014
Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam: The Asian Games Fun Run in Brunei on Sunday dominated the front, back and inside pages of the local newspapers on Monday morning, thanks in large part to the participation of His Royal Highness Prince Sufri Bolkiah, President of the Brunei Darussalam National Olympic Council. The Brunei Times had a front-page photo of HRH at the pre-run exercise routine, a back-page picture of him during the run and a third photo on the sports pages of students wearing the distinctive Fun Run and Learn T-shirts and caps.

The Borneo Bulletin also had a front-page photo of HRH during the 2.8km run and a full page of seven photos and a report on the Homepage section.

The Pelita Brunei government newspaper devoted over half the back page to the Fun Run, including four photos, while the Malay language Media Permata had a front-page photo and a full page of coverage, with six photos, in the National pages.

The OCA would like to congratulate the Brunei Darussalam NOC on this excellent coverage, and thank all the media, including newspapers and TV, who attended the run on Sunday morning and the anti-doping activities.
