Asian Games Fun Learn champion Cheng Yi Chieh.
Memorable day for Cheng Yi Chieh

04 Mar 2012
New Taipei City, Chinese Taipei: Fourteen-year-old Cheng Yi Chieh had a day to remember at the OCA’s Fun Run + Learn event in New Taipei City on Sunday held to promote the 17th Asian Games at Incheon, Korea, in 2014. After finishing third in the girls’ under-15 category of the Fun Run and collecting a bronze medal, Cheng then won the Fun Learn Asian Games Quiz and will be representing Chinese Taipei in the grand final at Incheon in 2014.

“I learned all about the Asian Games during my break time in school,” she told ocasia.org. “I really didn’t expect I could win the quiz today. I am speechless. I don’t know what I can say. “I like to participate in sport, and I’m very much looking forward to the 2014 Asian Games in Incheon, Korea. It will be a good experience for me.”

Chinese Taipei is the second National Olympic Committee to conduct the Asian Games Fun Run + Learn project in 2012, following Mongolia on February 28-29. The project will visit eight more NOCs this year: Oman, Malaysia, Uzbekistan, Iran, Sri Lanka, China, Macau and Maldives.
