Moscow, Russia: ANOC has announced that the Vice President from Europe, Patrick Hickey of Ireland, will become the Senior Vice President of ANOC for the period of 2012-2014. The announcement was made at the conclusion of the 2nd World Olympic Sports Convention on Tuesday in Moscow.

The ANOC Executive Council met on the morning of April 17 to ratify the decision taken by the five Continental Vice Presidents in their meeting the previous day, as per the amended Article 5.2 of the Constitution to nominate a Senior Vice President of ANOC.

The Executive Council approved the decision of the five Continental Vice Presidents to nominate Patrick Hickey as Senior Vice President of ANOC for the period 2012 – 2014.
