Cambodia NOC takes sport to school

Phnom Penh, Cambodia, March 16, 2017: Cambodia NOC took sport to the grassroots level thanks to the activities of the Women and Sport Commission members. They demonstrated a series of different sports to the students of Taing Samrong Secondary School, with two-time SEA Games champion and Rio 2016 Olympian Chov Sotheara leading the general exercise activities.

The NOCC Women and Sport Commission was headed by HE Ms. Mak Sivantha and included executive members and athletes, who gave presentations, conducted sports games and donated several pieces of sports equipment to the boys and girls.

*The NOCC also conducted an Olympic Solidarity Sports Administration Course for Sports Leaders and Sports Teachers in Stung Treng Province from March 13-17. A total of 26 people took part. Among the speakers was Dr Sdoeung Chea, who lectured on doping control, gender verification and first aid.
