Ju-Jitsu Asian Union organises seminar in Bangkok

07 Jul 2014
Abu Dhabi, UAE: The Ju-Jitsu Asian Union (JJAU) is holding a Referee and Coach Seminar in Bangkok next month for referees and coaches from all national federations in Asia. Participants will arrive on August 7 for the August 8-12 seminar, which will conclude with a friendly tournament, a theoretical and practical test for referees and a gala dinner. The International Coach and Referee License can be obtained at the seminar.

The JJAU is making a big effort to promote and popularise the martial art around the continent, and ju-jitsu has been added to the sports programme for the 4th Asian Beach Games in Phuket, Thailand, this November, with 12 gold medals on offer in the two-day competition on November 12-13 at Patong Beach.

For the seminar in Bangkok, the JJAU will provide accommodation, full board and air tickets for two participants from each national federation. Federations can send more delegates, including athletes, but they must bear their own costs.

In other news, the Ju-Jitsu International Federation Convention will take place at Tunis from August 20-29.
