Turkmenistan holds Asian Games Fun Run

Ashgabat, Turkmenistan: The fourth official fun run of the 17th Incheon Asian Games 2014 was held on Saturday in Ashgabat, the capital city of Turkmenistan. More than 1,200 students from different schools in Ashgabat took part in the 1.2-km run in the Turkmenistan Olympic National Olympic Stadium.

The Minister of Sport and Tourism of Turkmenistan, Yalkap Atalyyev, Deputy Minister Ferhat Arjanov, Chairman of Ashgabat Sports Committee Muhammet Keshikov and Turkmenistan NOC Secretary General Azat Muradov also joined the fun run and presented medals and certificates to the runners.

The first official fun run of the 17th Incheon Asian Games 2014 was held on April 12 in Incheon, Korea. Turkmenistan is the fourth country hosting the fun run after Bhutan and East Timor.

Together with the Incheon Asian Games Organising Committee and National Olympic Committees, OCA will continue hosting Incheon Asian Games fun runs in Palestine in June, Kazakhstan, Laos and Japan in July and UAE and Thailand in October.
