Vietnam NOC organises Children’s Olympic Day 2012

23 Jun 2012
Hanoi, Vietnam: On the occasion of the 118th anniversary of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the Vietnam Olympic Committee organised Children’s Olympic Day 2012. Participating in the festival were leaders of VOC, Vietnam Sports Administration, the Ambassador of UK Embassy to Vietnam, Dr. Antony Stokes, and hundreds of children from 5 to 18 years old.

The festival began with the Torch and Olympic Flag Relay, before the children listened to the Olympic Message from IOC President Jacques Rogge read by a famous athlete - Mai Phuong (wushu). The children had an opportunity to learn more about Olympic values through the presentation of Mr. Tran Van Manh, Executive Director of VOC, President of the Organising Committee.

After the speech, the children enjoyed games and a quiz about the Olympics, London Olympics 2012, the painting logo of VOC and tug of war.
