The committee overseeing the festival had its first meeting in Seef
Women’s sports festival to mark National Day in Bahrain

Manama, Bahrain, October 16, 2017: A women’s festival marking the National Day celebrations has been scheduled for December 15, the Bahrain Olympic Committee has announced. The festival will include 10 sports: volleyball, 3x3 basketball, football, handball, table tennis, athletics, judo, taekwondo, karate and jiu jitsu. The sports will take place at three venues – Bahrain Table Tennis Federation, Bahrain Volleyball Association and Bahrain Sports for Disabilities Federation halls, all of which are located at Isa Town Sports City in Riffa. The activities are planned to commence at 9am and will run until 8pm. The programme was discussed at the first meeting of the organising committee under Bahrain NOC at Seef. BOC sports federations director Hisham Al Blooshi, projects manager Lounes Madene and other committee members, as well as the relevant sports federations, attended the meeting. The meeting started with Madene briefing the attendees on the National Day Festival programme, and proposed that each federation be responsible for its respective activities.
