Over 1,000 runners join Incheon Asian Games festivities in Laos

Vientiane, Laos: More than 1,000 runners took part in a colourful 6th Incheon Asian Games Fun Run at the Vientiane Chaoanouvong Stadium (King Stadium) on Thursday. The participants were aged from 10 to over 60 and together celebrated the joy of the 17th Incheon Asian Games, which will be held in Korea in 2014.

The 14-16 years age group (boys and girls) set off first, followed by the 11–13s (boys and girls) and the 9– 10s (boys and girls), adults and seniors group.

H.E. Dr. Phouthong Seng-Akhom, President of the Laos National Olympic Committee, Vahid Kardany, Technical Officer of the Olympic Council of Asia, Choi Jang Hyuk, Director General of IAGOC’s Business Headquarters, and Lee Tae Gun, Korean Ambassador to Laos, presented the medals, certificates and prize money to the top seven winners of each group.
