Kish Island, Iran: Final preparations for the Iran leg of the OCA’s Fun Run + Learn series are underway following a meeting between the OCA, Incheon Asian Games Organising Committee and Kish Sports Authority officials on Wednesday.

Mr. Majid Bazmoon, the Director of Kish Sports Authority, has promised Kish will host an excellent fun run to promote throughout Iran the 2014 Incheon Asian Games in Korea.

“We will host the best fun run we can to celebrate the 2014 Incheon Asian Games.  We also wish to promote our Asian Games nationwide at grassroots level,” said Mr. Majid in the final group meeting with OCA and IAGOC.

“The 2.5 km fun run will start from Kish Marine Recreation and Sports Complex and finish at Kish City Hall. There will be 600 girls participating in the fun run on May 3 and another 600 boys on May 4 on the second day of the fun run event.

“The top 10 from the two groups will be awarded a bicycle as well as the certificate and medals. I hope all of them will enjoy the run.”

Together with Iran NOC, Kish Sports Authority will host an exhibition of paintings and essays from the 2014 Incheon Asian Games Fun Learn programme on Thursday, May 3.

Vahid Kardany, from the OCA Technical Department,  and IAGOC Planning HQ Director General Park Byung Jin both attended the meeting and inspected the venue for the final check.
