OCA DG impressed by Chinese Taipei’s sporting spirit

04 Mar 2012
New Taipei City, Chinese Taipei: OCA Director General Husain Al Musallam was very impressed with the sporting spirit and passion of the Chinese Taipei people at the 2014 Incheon Asian Games Fun Run +Learn event held in New Taipei City on Sunday. “There is no doubt that today’s event will add great value to the Olympic Movement in Chinese Taipei,” Captain Husain said during the Incheon Asian Games Fun Run + Learn press conference.

“With its 99 years history, Chinese Taipei NOC has been playing a positive role in Asia since it first participated in the Far Eastern Championship Games in 1913. Today I have been very impressed with the sporting fervor and spirit of those young runners.

“I wish Chinese Taipei the best of luck in the 2012 London Olympic Games. I would also like to see Chinese Taipei athletes winning more medals at the 2014 Incheon Asian Games.”
