Lausanne, Switzerland: The Executive Committee of the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) took a number of decisions during its meeting on February 27-28. Thus, the new statutes of the Africa Gymnastics Union (UAG) were approved and the FIG Code of Ethics was updated.

The Executive Committee also awarded its honorary diplomas to women’s artistic gymnastics judges Liudmila Korolenko (Russian Federation), Mayumi Yamada (Japan) and Marjeta Kova (Slovenia) in recognition of the quality of their service.

In addition, the Chair of the FIG Athletes’ Commission, Jani Tanskanen, has been unanimously re-elected. Gymnastics delegates from the six competition disciplines meeting at the FIG headquarters on March 1 re-elected him to this function.
