Coaching Coaches Is The Key To Sporting Success

12 Apr 2014
The Jordan Olympic Committee (JOC) has praised the latest graduates of its National Coaches Certification Programme (NCCP), and is encouraging them to cascade their new knowledge across the sporting sector. The programme equips sports coaches with new skills that can be implemented within their training courses, and it has been run by the JOC’s Knowledge, Education and Training department since 2009, in cooperation with the Coaching Association of Canada.

Through the last five years, more than 20 courses in three levels have been held with the participation of more than 150 coaches

"Working under the directions of JOC President HRH Prince Feisal Al Hussein, we aim to empower and improve our coaches’ capabilities through these courses." said Lana AL Jaghbeer, Secretary General of the JOC. "We are proud of the programme’s results, and we will continue to hold many more in the future."

Coaches benefit from the latest in international coaching techniques which can then be shared with fellow coaches back at their federations.

"On behalf of my colleagues, I thank the JOC for honoring the coaches, I also thank all the lecturers for their efforts during the course as the programme was hugely beneficial for us and will be reflected on all sports in Jordan." said Tariq Faouri, a participating coach.
