Marathon efforts to promote Incheon Asian Games

Incheon, Korea: The 2014 Incheon Asian Games Organising Committee (IAGOC) participated in the 2013 Incheon International Marathon on Sunday, March 31. IAGOC formed a marathon team of some 125 runners, including the Mayor of Incheon, Mr. Song Young-gil, IAGOC executives, Youth Supporters and promotional blog writers.

The IAGOC team ran for five kilometres of the Incheon Marathon course and promoted the 4th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games to be held from June 29 to July 6, 2013, and the 17th Asian Games from September 19 to October 4, 2014. IAGOC also set up a promotion booth at the Incheon Marathon and gave out souvenirs and gifts to the runners.

In other news from Incheon:

IAGOC signed an overseas ticketing contract with the travel agency ICN Tour and Hotels on March 25. According to the terms of the contract, ICN will hold the sole rights to the overseas sales of tickets for the 4th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games in 2013 and the 17th Asian Games in 2014.

Ticketing procedures for the AIMAG will start this month. IAGOC and ICN will also put in efforts to attract overseas visitors to the Games.
