Date : 23 Sep 2016

Danang, Vietnam, September 23, 2016: The Olympic Council of Asia’s Environment Committee has plans to hold an OCA Environment Forum every two years entitled “Assessing the progress and sharing experiences in sustainability”.

Speaking at a meeting of the OCA Environment Committee at the Grand Tourane Hotel in Danang on Friday, Chairman Yu Kyung-Sun of Korea said the environment forum would bring together representatives and partners of the OCA and other relevant organisations.

It would also provide an opportunity to share knowledge, experience and expertise, as well as encouraging cooperation and further development of environmental policies in OCA events, he added. The forum would conclude with the presentation of the OCA Award for Sport and Environment to recognise and celebrate the achievements of individuals, groups and organisations that have driven environmental projects within their community. The proposal will be presented to the OCA Executive Board on Saturday.
