Hangzhou is located close to China’s southeast coast, in the lower reaches of the Qiantang River and at the southern end of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal. It is renowned for its historic relics and natural beauty. Hangzhou is known as one of the most beautiful and scenic cities in China.
In 2016, the G20 Summit was held in Hangzhou and it allowed the world to know this wonderful city. In another four years, in 2022, Hangzhou will host the next Asian Games. The time between the G20 Summit and the 2022 Asian Games is a good opportunity for Hangzhou to show a gentle, modern, colourful and attractive city to the world.
Hangzhou is rich in tourism resources. It intends to let the world know that it is not only the destination of two UNESCO World Heritage Sites, namely the West Lake and the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, but also the destination of charming Lingyin Temple, the Xixi National Wetland Park and various museums.
Being the host city of the next Asian Games in 2022, Hangzhou is willing to welcome guests from all over the world.
The Hangzhou Tourism Commission would like to take this opportunity and introduce Hangzhou to visitors around the world through this new website.
