Date : 25 Feb 2019

Manama, Bahrain, February 25, 2019: Bahrain’s national bowling team returned home with remarkable results at the ninth Arab Men’s and fifth Women’s Bowling Championships 2019 in Cairo.

The men’s team emerged overall champions in their category while the women’s squad finished second to provide two outstanding achievements at this major regional bowling challenge.

The teams were given a special reception at Bahrain International Airport, with the welcome delegation headed by Bahrain Bowling Association President Ahmed Al Nuaimi and board members.

The Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Assistant Secretary General and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) Secretary General, Abdulrahman Askar, congratulated both teams on their results and conveyed the best wishes of BOC President Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, who is also Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports.

“We are extremely proud of what our teams have achieved in the Arab Championships, which proves the respected reputation of Bahrain bowling at the regional level,” said Askar.

Askar also attributed the results to the efforts, planning and preparation of the Bahrain Bowling Association under its President, Ahmed Al Nuaimi.
