Tehran, Iran, December 12, 2018: Thirty female participants took part in a week-long Level II International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) Coaches Course organised by the Iran Volleyball Federation.
The seven days course was headed by FIVB instructor Dr. Khosrow Ebrahim, who conducted both theoretical and practical sessions for the 30 female volleyball coaches.
“The goal is to provide the participants with the latest information in the field of coaching. The participants were all very hard-working and eager to learn,” Dr. Ebrahim said.
Iran Volleyball Federation Vice President Sedigheh Kabizadeh, who supervises the country’s women’s programmes, said that the course provided an opportunity for the participants to improve their knowledge of the latest coaching techniques.
The Iranian Federation also hosted a Level I coaching course last month in Urmia and is planning to hold another Level I course in Kerman.
The Iran men’s national volleyball team is ranked eighth in the world rankings and is the top Asian team. The Iranian women’s volleyball team is ranked a lowly 115th in the world.
