Kuwait: The Olympic Council of Asia today confirmed the timetable of the Fun Run and Learn events in 2012 to promote the 17th Asian Games in Incheon, Korea, in 2014. A total of 10 National Olympic Committees will be joining the Asian Games promotion events in 2012. They are Mongolia (Ulaanbaatar, February 29), Chinese Taipei (March 4), Sri Lanka (Colombo, May 19), Maldives (Male, March 14), Oman (Muscat, April 24), Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur, April 28), Uzbekistan (Tashkent, May 11), Iran (Kish Islands, May 14), China (Beijing, September 20) and Macau (November 2).
OCA and Incheon Asian Games organisers IAGOC have decided to include an educational aspect, or Fun Learn, into the traditional fun runs, which will now be known as Fun Run and Learn. The learning will include a quiz for school children on the Asian Games.
There will also be a Global Youth Reporter project in which the winner of a group of youngsters will be selected as reporters of the Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games 2013 and the Asian Games for the Olympic Council of Asia Official Website: WWW.OCASIA.ORG
