Beijing 2008
Beijing 2008 Summer Olympic Games was held in Beijing, China from August 8th to August 24th 2008, a total of 204 NOC’s and 11,028 Athletes participated in 28 sports and 302 events of the 2008 Summer Games. Beijing was the Games of records and superlatives. The Opening Ceremony was unforgettable; the athletes’ achievements were astonishing, the organisation was excellent; the venues breathtaking and the anti-doping tests were stricter.

Several hundred million watched worldwide on TV as more than 40 world records and over 130 Olympic records were broken. This was the 3rd time that the Olympic Games were held in Asia after Tokyo 1964 and Seoul 1988, and the 22nd nation to host the Olympic Game.

The 2008 Summer Olympic Games had the largest media attention in the history of the Olympics.
